Laika (Russian for barker) was the first living creature to orbit the earth. On November 3, 1957 Laika blasted off to outer space aboard the Soviet Union's Sputnik 2. With no way to bring her back to earth, she became the first creature to give her life for the exploration of space. Laika was believed to have survived inside Sputnik 2 for four days before dying when the spacecraft's cabin overheated.

The Aries Dog is a lively, dynamic type of canine, with an enthusiastic type of behavior. He seems to have a well-spring of endless energy.
